With a growing number of medical practitioners and medical facilities, the unserved and underserved will get attention and care.

The AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) in New Delhi was created in 1956. And, after almost exact 71 years of India’s independence, Arunachal Pradesh got its first medical college. This quick data check gives some perspectives and food for thought. One considerable factor is the population. As per the 2011 census, Arunachal Pradesh had an estimated population of 1.2 billion spread across 23 districts.
